Bidvest Wits will be targeting a return to winning ways when Black Leopards make the trip to Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Clever Boys have several games in hand on the teams directly above them in the Premiership standings but have lost ground in recent times after two draws and one defeat in their last three fixtures.
They inched closer towards league leaders Chiefs after a goalless draw against Chippa United on Saturday evening, with Amakhosi dropping points after a shock 1-0 defeat to stragglers AmaZulu.
However, Chiefs are still 13 points ahead of sixth-placed Wits, albeit after playing two more games than Gavin Hunt's outfit.
Leopards, meanwhile, dropped to the foot of the Premiership table after a 2-0 defeat at Baroka on Saturday - their third straight league loss.
And, with fellow stragglers AmaZulu getting the better of league leaders Chiefs at the weekend, Leopards now trail Usuthu by three points.
Tuesday night's clash will be the first meeting of these two sides this season, with the return leg at Thohoyandou Stadium scheduled for the 6th of May.
