Hunt pleased with early season form

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt is more than satisfied with his side's early form in the 2019/2020 Absa Premiership campaign.

The Clever Boys have won three of their first four matches and are in second place on the table, one point behind pace-setters Kaizer Chiefs.

"I don’t have anything to complain about. If we can collect nine points after every four games, then I will be more delighted," Hunt told the Daily Sun.

"Even though I’m targeting 10 points in every four matches, I would still be happy with nine.

"We are not too far behind the leaders – just one, and it goes to show we have been working hard."

The Students' next domestic game is a home tie against Orlando Pirates on September 21, but before then they have a CAF Confederation Cup first round first-leg clash against Eswatini side Young Buffaloes lined up.

"Let’s get the CAF game out of the way and then we will be able to talk about Pirates. The plan is to do what we have been doing all along in the league," he said of their preparation for the September 13 clash.
