Hunt expects Macuphu to return to Wits

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt insists striker Mxolisi Macuphu will return to the club next season following his loan spell at Supersport United.

Macuphu joined Matsatsantsa on loan for the remainder of this campaign in January as part of the deal that saw Fagrie Lakay join the Students on a permanent basis.

The 29-year-old Macuphu has though been in hot form at the Tshwane club recently, already scoring four goals for his new club to take his total to six for the season.

Reports suggest that Supersport want to make the player's stay a permanent one but Hunt expects Macuphu to return to the Clever Boys.

The Wits mentor told Kickoff: "Sure, he will be with us. Well I mean I can't really say why he left.

"There's nothing really other than other reasons, but I can't put them over here. But he will be back, he will be back.

"When he was here he did well, but circumstances...you know there's other circumstances why he left."
