Cape Town - Four-time Absa Premiership league-winning coach Gavin Hunt has confirmed that he will be staying at Bidvest Wits.

Hunt took the Clever Boys to the 2016/ 17 league title, but last season the Students struggled in their title defence and could only manage a 13th placed finish. They did however manage to win the Telkom Knockout.

There had been some speculation that Hunt could be set to depart the club, with former team SuperSport United, who parted ways with Eric Tinkler a few months before the end of last season, one of the teams mentioned in the media.

But in a brief interview with IOL, Hunt poured cold water on any talk of his exit and says he's focused on bouncing back next season.
