Hunt: Competition keeping Majoro on the bench

Cape Town - Wits coach Gavin Hunt says Lehlohonolo Majoro is back from injury, but strong competition has kept him out of the starting line up in the new season.

New signings such as Mxolisi Macuphu, Dean Hotto, Simon Murray and Gift Motupa, have all been outstanding in attack for the Students and have made it difficult for Majoro to regain his place in the starting line-up.

However, Hunt feels his side at the summit of the Premiership table after five games, have a long season ahead of them and the 32-year old striker will find his way back into the starting line-up.

“Majoro is back training again, he is fine,” Hunt said as quoted by KickOff website.

“He will come into reckoning. Obviously, there is strong competition, but he is working hard at training like everybody else. He is creating good competition for everyone.

“We don't have a lot strikers but we have a few and obviously they are all competing hard to get into the team, and that's the important thing.

“It's important obviously you know to have a good strike force. In that business end of the field you need people who can do the job.

“It's a long way to go. The season haven't really started yet, so we'll see how it goes.”
