Cape Town - Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt has shirked responsibility for his side's poor form recently by claiming that they have just been unlucky.
The Clever Boys have shipped 11 goals in their last four fixtures, including letting in three in a loss to Cape Town City at the start of March and a 4-4 draw against Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup, which they lost on penalties, over the weekend.
Still, Hunt is adamant it has nothing to do with his coaching or the side's quality and claims conceding nearly three goals a game over the last month is nothing more than a bit of bad fortune.
"The positives are we are scoring goals every week. We scored eight in two games but we have conceded six [in the last two games], what's that?" Hunt said.
"That's not my team I coach, not for me. We have got seven goals in two [home] games now. Cape Town City scored three, now four tonight [against Chippa]. It is crazy.
"Every team scores a free kick here against us. Every team in the league and they have scored more than one. I mean every week those free kicks will end up over the bar like they normally do but against us, they are going in. So, you have to say it is a lot of bad luck now. I have never seen it in my life."
