Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces will target a hat-trick of Absa Premiership wins when they welcome Ajax Cape Town to Mbombela Stadium.

Aces claimed a second successive league win when they beat Bloemfontein Celtic 2-0 away on November 22.

The Mpumalanga side has claimed 11 points from five home matches this season.

AmaZayoni are placed third on the Absa Premiership log with 21 points from 11 matches.

Ajax suffered a second straight loss and saw their winless streak extended to five matches when they were beaten 1-0 at home by SuperSport United on November 21.

The Cape side has claimed zero points from two away matches this season.

The Urban Warriors are placed 13th on the Absa Premiership log with 11 points from nine matches.

In head-to-head stats, Aces and Ajax have met in eight league matches since 2009/10.

The Urban Warriors have claimed four wins compared to two for AmaZayoni, while two matches have been drawn.

Aces have won one of their four home matches against Ajax, suffering two defeats in the process.

Last season, AmaZayoni won 1-0 at home in the teams’ first meeting, while the return game ended 2-1 in favour of the Urban Warriors.

Aces have managed just two home goals against Ajax, compared to the five they have netted in Cape Town.

Kick-off is at 20:15 on Saturday, December 19.
