Thulani Hlatshwayo says his loyalty to Bidvest Wits over the years has afforded him a stable and rewarding career.
The 30-year-old centre-back joined the Clever Boys from Ajax Cape Town in 2014 and has gone on to captain the side and win the Premier Soccer League, Telkom Knockout and MTN8 trophies.
A stalwart for Bafana Bafana, Hlatshwayo, who reportedly turned down the chance to join Orlando Pirates in earlier years, says he looks back fondly on his career.
Speaking to Far Post, the skipper said: "It's been over a decade playing in the PSL, when you look back, you ask yourself, how did I get through with the team?
"You realise loyalty gives you stability, and the teams we play for can see loyalty and when you give your all the rewards then follow. Wits have rewarded me over the years."
Hlatshwayo signed a new three-year-deal with Wits in 2019, keeping him at the club until 2022.
