Hlanti back in training after injury

Cape Town - Sifiso Hlanti has recovered from his injury and is back in training with with his club, Bidvest Wits.

The defender injured his knee against Nigeria while representing Bafana Bafana at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The 29-year-old has not yet made an appearance for the Clever Boys this season but he is close to returning to action.

While he says he has no pain, the player will only start playing games next month.

Hlanti told KickOff: "No everything is going well. It's been six days now since I'm back. I've been training alone for two weeks.

"The doctor said I can only be involved in marking other players from next month.

"So for now I'm only focusing on things like passing the ball because that was the problem.

"I couldn't kick a ball at first because of the knee. But everything is going well now, it shows progress."
