Highlands Park have dismissed reports that the Premier Soccer League (PSL) club are set to replace head coach Owen Da Gama with Eric Tinkler.
The Lions of the North entered the enforced break, as a result of the coronavirus, in a healthy eighth place.
Tinkler's Maritzburg United side are, meanwhile, in fifth on the Absa Premiership standings, eight points from leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
Da Gama contract expires in the upcoming campaign, leading some outlets to link former Cape Town City and SuperSport boss, Tinkler, to the position.
Highlands Park co-director Larry Brookstone refused to even discuss the reports.
He told KickOff: "That's rubbish.
"Owen's contract expires next season and also there is an option on his contract. I don't want even to respond to those (rumours about Tinkler)."
