Heredia leaves Matsatsansa

Cape Town - Alex Heredia has confirmed his departure from SuperSport United as Stuart Baxter tenure begins to take shape.

The former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper coach joined the Tshwane based outfit during Gordon Igesund's ill-fated spell and will be replaced by Stuart Baxter's son, Lee Baxter.

Heredia confirmed that the club met last week in order to discuss his future when it was made clear the Scotsman was keen to bring in his own technical staff.

"We met on Friday and both agreed that it was in the best of interest to all parties involved to part ways,” the Argentine told KickOff.

"We parted ways amicably."

SuperSport United are currently in eighth position in the Premiership standings and will be looking to climb the table when face off against Baxter's former side Kazier Chiefs this Friday at Cape Town Stadium.
