Hands-off top stars, says SuperSport boss

Cape Town - SuperSport United stars Teboho Mokoena, Thabo Mnyamane and Aubrey Modiba will not be sold to rival PSL clubs, according to Matsatsantsa CEO Stan Matthews

In a somewhat aging SuperSport United squad, Bafana Bafana trio Mokoena, Mnyamane and Modiba are among the Pretoria side's most promising up-and-coming talents.

But Matthews says his club will not be tempted to cash in on any of the players, unless an offer comes in from overseas.

"Modiba, Mnyamane and Mokoena are not for sale. We've received a lot of interest locally for these players. But we will only let go of them if we receive the right offers from abroad," he told IOL

"They have to continue with their good work. But if they continue to work hard and the right offer from Europe is presented to us, we will not stand in their way," he added.

SuperSport lost their opening league game 2-0 away at Cape Town City and will host AmaZulu in their next Premiership encounter, on Wednesday.
