Cape Town - SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews says striker Bradley Grobler could earn a move to Orlando Pirates in January should the club start the season in a positive fashion.
Grobler was linked with a switch to the Sea Robbers ahead of 2019/20 however United later ruled out the move with the club saying he is indispensable to the cause.
However, Matthews has since indicated the forward can still make the switch to Mayfair if his side can be highly competitive in the upcoming campaign.
He told Kickoff: "It's all down to the players. If we have a big start to the season and Bradley shows what he can do and gets his place back into the Bafana Bafana team, then the January window is there.
"At Bradley's age, if there was a really good move on the table for him, we would not want to say no if he has one big final move, but I can't destabilise my team before the season has even started.
"We are going to need to see where we go. Our experience of these things is that once the transfer talks die down and everybody settles down to get on with what they are supposed to do, then football takes care of itself and the players who stand up and shine get their moves.
"It's in the players' hands. Bradley knows...help us win another trophy and get us to January in a nice solid position, then that's great for him."
