Gould: There is still life in these legs

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Morgan Gould has no intention of retiring after being released by the Soweto giants last week.

The 33-year-old, who endured an injury-plagued spell at Chiefs since joining from SuperSport United in 2013, was one of 20 players given clearances to leave Naturena at the end of last season.

Former Bafana Bafana international Gould believes he can add value to any interested club in the Premiership.

"For me, it's a new chapter to go and experience something different at a different club," Gould told The Sowetan. "I still have two to three seasons in my legs before I call it quits.

"The experience was great. We had good and bad times like at any other work place. But the lesson is you're not guaranteed anything in life. I knew my contract was coming to an end.

"Not many people have had so many setbacks as me - injuries were part of it - but it's such challenges that make me a better person. I am meeting with my manager next week regarding my future."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
