Lorenzo Gordinho has expressed his disappointment at the way he exited Kaizer Chiefs but is determined to help his new club win some silverware.

Gordinho moved to Bidvest Wits in January this year and has become a solid performer in Gavin Hunt's side.

The defender spent last season on loan at Bloemfontein Celtic only to be called back by Amakhosi but couldn't find a regular place in Ernst Middendorp's team only to be let go to Wits.

In quotes published on KickOff, Gordinho said: "I'm a bit disappointed but you know it's the way football is.

"You can't keep on looking at the past, you have to move forward.

"Disappointing in a sense that I didn't play as much as I could at Chiefs after coming back from a good season at Bloemfontein Celtic.

"But you know it's part of football."

Gordinho has helped the Clever Boys into the last four of the Nedbank Cup and really wants to repay the faith shown in him by head coach Hunt

The former Amakhosi defender added: "I'm really working hard for the team. I'm grateful for the trust given in me.

"The guys brought me on and helped me to get into the swing of things easily, so I'm really working hard for the team and we are doing well at the moment."
