Gor Mahia striker linked to 'Downs

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly thinking about raiding the Kenyan Premier League for more firepower, with Gor Mahia striker Michael Olunga apparently on their radar.

The 21-year-old is capped at senior international level for Kenya, and has already netted five goals in nine games for the Harambee Stars.

He was Gor Mahia's top scorer this season; his 19 goals in 2015 helping the club to a 15th league title.

According to a source quoted by Soccer Laduma, Olunga's feats have not gone unnoticed at Sundowns.

"The club is closely watching a Kenyan international striker, Michael Olunga, who is one of the hottest properties in the Kenyan Premier League,” the source said.

"He is open to leave Gor Mahia, but Downs could opt to sign the striker and send him out on loan."
