Gcaba: Team-mates give me belief

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Ayanda Gcaba says the encouragement he receives from team-mates has given him the to confidence to get on the scoresheet this season.

Gcaba has three goals to his name this term, the most recent of which came in his side's memorable 3-1 victory over Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

The 29-year-old also found the net against University of Pretoria in the first round of the Telkom Knockout and the 4-1 Premiership victory over Chippa United in August.

"My team-mates encourage me and they make me believe that I can be a top player who can also score goals for the team. They give me strength," Gcaba was quoted as saying by Africanfootball website.

He added: "It does not matter where I play, whether it is left-back or centre-back. For me I'm happy if appear on the starting line-up.

"However, I prefer playing as a left-back."
