Cape Town - SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo has confirmed they will be without the services of captain Dean Furman for several weeks due to a dislocated shoulder.
Tembo stated that the 30-year-old midfielder is likely to be out of action for three to four weeks, having missed Sunday's Telkom Knockout tie against Polokwane City.
Furman joins a long list of Matsatsantsa players currently on the treatment table, including Fagrie Lakay, Bradley Grobler, Thabo Mnyamane and Evans Rusike.
"We might miss Dean for the next three to six weeks," Tembo told journalists after his side's 6-5 penalty shootout victory over Rise and Shine.
"If you look at our squad we are a little bit thin at the moment, especially upfront with Fagrie Lakay, Bradley Grobler, Thabo Mnyamane and Evans Rusike all injured.
"So this competition (Telkom Knockout) will give us time to try get those players back."
