Bafana Bafana midfielder Dean Furman says his future plans have been put on hold as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The 31-year-old Matsatsantsa captain recently announced his decision to leave SuperSport United after five years and over 100 appearances.
Furman hopes to continue his career back in England, where he previously played for Oldham Athletic and Doncaster Rovers.
In an interview with Soccer Laduma, the midfielder admitted he was facing a trying few months of waiting.
He said: "The plans have been put on hold for now. The world is in a bit of a crisis now and football has been dramatically affected.
"This would have been a prime time to speak to clubs and to start seeing what interest is out there.
"But things are a bit on hold at the moment, so for me it’s probably going to be a difficult few months of waiting and seeing what’s out there.
"Hopefully things start to improve with the Coronavirus in the near future."
