Cape Town - Free State Stars veteran midfielder Paulus Masehe has been ruled out for a few weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in their 2-1 loss to Chippa United.
Masehe, who captains the Bethlehem-based outfit, limped off the field of play on Tuesday evening in the 56th minute of their encounter against the Chilli Boys.
Despite the former Orlando Pirates man in clear discomfort, the club's physio Ryan Coert dismissed fears that it was a long-term setback for the club stalwart.
"It looks like the player will be sidelined for a couple of weeks, but of course depending on the MRI scan results," Coert told the club's official website.
The 32-year-old has been a ever present figure for Stars since joining the club in 2011, playing 227 games for the club - scoring eight goals and registering four assists.
