Cape Town - Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has confirmed that former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo is training with Bakgaga in the hopes of landing a contract.
The 28-year-old Ntshumayelo played his last competitive match in April 2016 but was then banned for cocaine use.
He served a two-year ban for taking the banned substance and is now looking for club to resurrect his career.
'Bibo' had been training with Highlands Park and also had lengthy trial at Bidvest Wits but no deal was offered to the player.
Now he is at the Limpopo-based outfit hoping to impress coach Wedson Nyirenda and the Baroka chairman hopes it goes well.
Mphahlele told the KickOff website: "Yes, we are still checking him man. He started Monday. I haven't received a report yet from the technical team.
"I'm still waiting for the report. We are hoping he does well, and we sign him. We are hoping, it's up to him. If he signs it will be for now, he is free."
Ntshumayelo started his career at Supersport United before going on to become a star for Orlando Pirates.
