The Team of Choice mentor has given a hint that he could unleash the experienced duo of Yannick Zakri and Nazeer Allie, who joined from Mamelodi Sundowns and Wits respectively in the off season.

Davids admitted that the Clever Boys will be a good test for his youthful side in their hunt for their first three points of the new season.

He told SuperSport: "Yes, of course. We have had good performances in the first three games, but not getting the results you would like the performances to translate into

"But what better game against Bidvest Wits to test yourself and to really push to be able to get that first win. Of course (Nazeer) Allie comes from them (Wits), an experienced campaigner in the league, he is definitely one of those that has been there and done that.

"He comes with a wealth of experience, we need it. We have one player over the age of 27 and that is Nazeer. We need that experience; we need his leadership to be able to guide young players especially in times like this when we are fighting for results.

"We have had fantastic four weeks with the new players and getting them up to speed. Now we have competition in terms of the upfront positions. (Yannick) Zakri and Andrea (Fileccia) really fighting hard to play in that number nine position.

"We will see, we still have a few training sessions left to be able to select the final line-up to face Wits."
