Fabregas' advice to former Orlando Pirates starlet

Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates starlet Lyle Foster has been advised by Monaco teammate Cesc Fabregas to impress coach Leonardo Jardim during pre-season training.

Foster joined the French Ligue 1 giants in 2018/19 from the Sea Robbers but played the majority of his football in the reserve team.

He was selected on the bench for a first team game against Lille in March but did not make his debut.

Nonetheless, Fabregas, who has starred for Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and Spain during a long career, takes the view that the 18-year-old must impress while Radamel Falcao is at the Copa America with Colombia.

He told Soccer Laduma website: "For example, Falcao is going to the Copa America, so he will not be there.

"You have your chance, so take it. Show the coach what you can do while you have one full month to prove yourself, and that's what I think."
