Eymael: I respect Vilakazi's decision to leave

Cape Town - Free State Stars head coach Luc Eymael says he does not see the need to sideline Amazulu-bound Nhlanhla Vilakazi.

Vilakazi has penned a pre-contract with the KwaZulu-Natal-based club and will be joining them from Ea Lla Koto at the end of the season, but the Belgian coach, said he is happy to continue fielding the midfielder as long as he continues to give the right attitude.

The 31-year-old captained Stars in the 1-1 draw with Golden Arrows over the weekend in the absence of skipper, Paulus Masehe, who was serving a suspension.

Eymael revealed that he respects the midfielder's decision to seek greener pastures at Amazulu.

“I respect his decision to go for greener pastures at Amazulu,” Eymael said Vodacom Soccer.

“Players always choose the teams they want to play for and we have to respect his decision.

“He is giving us the commitment we want and working hard for the team and do not see the need not to play him.

“What can we do if he chose to play for Amazulu? We cannot force him to stay with us."
