Cape Town - Free State Stars head coach Luc Eymael has once again stated that he has not been in contact with Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.
Amakhosi are on the hunt for a new mentor after Steve Komphela's resignation last month.
Stars' shock 2-0 Nedbank Cup semi-final victory over Chiefs led to Komphela announcing his sudden departure.
For much of 2018, Eymael has topped the list of coaches shortlisted to become the new Amakhosi boss as the Belgian enjoyed a successful season with Ea La Koto, which culminated in their spot in the Nedbank Cup final at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday where they will face Maritzburg United.
Doctor Khumalo, Ruud Krol and Rulani Mokwena are some of the other coaches Chiefs are rumoured to be interested in.
Back in March, Eymael said he was oblivious to the rumours and is only concerned about his job at Stars.
"I still have a contract with Free State Stars. I have a buyout clause," said Eymael.
"I don't know anything about these rumours about Chiefs (and SuperSport United)."
Ahead of the Nedbank Cup final, the 58-year-old Eymael continues to be probed by journalists on the possibility of filling the void left by Komphela.
Eymael took matters a step further by taking to social media to confirm he's had no approach from Chiefs.
Eymael said on his official Twitter account, “Again false rumours linking me with Kaizer Chiefs... I want to repeat again that I have not been contacted.”
Kick-off in the Nedbank Cup final is set for 19:00.
