Cape Town - Jazzman Mahlakgane, the agent of former Mamelodi Sundowns star Punch Masenamela, has denied that his client is in financial dire straits following media reports alleging this to be the case.
The Daily Sun reported that the left-back had his BMW 1 Series and house in Kempton Park repossessed after he failed to keep up with the financial installments.
Since leaving Sundowns in 2014/15, the player has seen his career decline despite the fact that at one point he was regarded as one of the best attacking fullbacks in the country.
The latter part of the 30-year-old's career is said to have been rife with ill-discipline, and he was sacked from Polokwane City in February over issues relating to this.
It was not the first time the Bochum-born star has been the subject of public reports related to his lifestyle off the pitch. In 2014 he allegedly faked his own kidnapping after reportedly taking a woman to a hotel, as he didn't want his wife to find out.
Nonetheless, it appears the former Kaizer Chiefs defender could be struggling financially although Mahlakgane denies this.
"There's no such thing. There's propaganda against him. His BMW was involved in an accident while he was still playing for Sundowns. So what if he's driving a Ford Bantam?," Mahlakgane said.
"There's no house that's been repossessed. My player is currently clubless and training with a Vodacom team until he gets a club."
