Ex-Pirates midfielder not moving to Chiefs, says agent

Cape Town - Chippa United midfielder Thabo Rakhale is not leaving the club to join Kaizer Chiefs says his agent Mandla Mthembu.

Speculation has been building that Amakhosi are chasing the services of the talented and experienced winger, however, it now appears his future still remains with the Chilli Boys.

The 29-year-old former Orlando Pirates man had a solid 2018/19 season as he scored one goal and recorded five assists.

Speaking to Goal, Mthembu said: "I believe it was just speculation that he is going to Chiefs. As things stand, he is a Chippa United player and of course he is reporting for a pre-season camp.

"He is happy there and regaining his form, in fact, he has improved because he is a matured player.

"You will remember the coach (Larsen) also made comments that he deserves to be in the national team. He is one of the brilliant midfielders in the league."
