Ex-Chiefs striker joins AmaZulu

Cape Town - Absa Premiership club AmaZulu have announced the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs striker Camaldine Abraw.

The statement read:

The club has confirmed the acquisition of Togolese forward, Camaldine Abraw on a 6-month deal with a one-year option to help strengthen the AmaZulu FC strike force in the second round of the Absa Premiership campaign.

Usuthu General Manager, Lunga Sokhela concluded the deal with the former Free State Stars and Kaizer Chiefs striker on Tuesday at the club’s offices in Durban.

“We’d like to confirm that AmaZulu have signed a contract with Abraw Camaldine which is effective from now in January up until the end of the 2018/2019 season.”

“We’re very happy that he was able to come in this morning from Paris, and hopefully he’ll be able to contribute towards getting the club out of the situation it is currently under,” said Sokhela.

Abraw recently featured for Poli Timisoara after joining the Romanian side, first-tier outfit in October last year.

According to AmaZulu Team Manager, Qedi Dlamini the 27-year old striker will be expected to hit the ground running at Usuthu under Cavin Johnson upon the completion of his medical and work permit.
