Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Bhongolethu Jayiya has revealed he has been training on his own since being released by the Amakhosi at the end of last season and is confident of finding a new club in January.
Jayiya has been clubless since he was released by the Amakhosi at the end of last season, but the 29-year-old has revealed he has been staying fit by training on his own and is confident of finding an employer in January.
"I am training on my own and working hard to come back. I am confident that something is going to happen in January," Jayiya told KickOff.
"I can only assure (fans) not to worry. January is around the corner and they will see me back in action very soon."
Jayiya says the break has been good in terms of being able to spend more time with his family.
"The time I have spent off the field has helped a lot in terms of focusing on myself and my family," he explains.
“There are things that you miss when you are playing football and this opportunity has given me a chance to attend to those things that are very important in my life."
Jayiya was educated at Potchefstroom High School for Boys, which has produced numerous internationally acclaimed sportsmen.
