Ertugral jumps to Komphela's defence

Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Muhsin Ertugral has come out defending Kaizer Chiefs and Steve Komphela.

Aces secured a 2-2 draw at the Mbombela Stadium against the Naturena after Bongolethu Jayiya levelled matters in the dying minutes on the encounter.

The Sowetan giants have now gone five games without a victory and fans have been questioning whether the former Maritzburg United coach is the right fit to continue his post as head coach.

Komphela is barely 12-months into the job and Ertugral says that time has to be given to the coach in order for his methods to start working.

"Firstly, I don't know what the critics are all about," the former Chiefs mentor said as quoted by KickOff.

"You need to give a team and the coach a chance to build and work on other elements. This is a fantastic team Kaizer Chiefs."
