End of Baroka journey for Ntshumayelo

Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo has departed Baroka FC after making just one appearance for the club.

Ntshumayelo has been attempting to rebuild his career after making an earlier than expected return to the game after being previously banned for using cocaine.

He had been training with Bidvest Wits but was not offered a deal by coach Gavin Hunt, before making his way to Bakgaga on a short term deal.

However, he played just 35 minutes in a 2-1 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns last April and it seems his playing days could once again be coming to an end.

Baroka chairman club Khurishi Mphahlele confirmed the combative midfielder had left his side.

He told KickOff a definitive fashion that the 29-year-old had parted ways with the team: "No! He is no longer with the team."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
