Edwin Gyimah surfaces at Highlands Park

Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Edwin Gyimah is on trial with Highlands Park as he looks to get his career back on track in the Absa Premiership.

Gyimah's fortunes have taken a dive in recent seasons despite the fact he remains only 28 years old.

After starring for Pirates in 2015/16 and 2016/17, he won a move to Europe in Sweden with Helsingborg.

After one season in that country he signed for Bidvest Wits but made just 15 league starts over two seasons under coach Gavin Hunt.

The Ghana international joins a number of other players on trial with the Lions of the North - a list which includes the likes of ex-Golden Arrows midfielder Sandile Zuke as well as former Sea Robber Thandani Ntshumayelo.

Owen da Gama's side have already signed Limbikani Mzava, Makhehleni Makhaula, Thela Ngobeni, Wayde Jooste, Marks Munyai and Rodney Ramagalela ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
