Cape Town - Moroka Swallows boss David Mogashoa
says the club are waiting for the PSL to process the side's name-change
from Maccabi FC but they have signed Cheeseboy Mokoena.
The former Premiership giants bought the status of Maccabi in the
National First Division and will now compete in South Africa's second
tier as Swallows.
However, in their opening match against TS Sporting this weekend at
Dobsonville Stadium, they could appear as Maccabi as the PSL are yet to
confirm the name-change.
Mogashoa told KickOff: "Yes it's true, in the fixture against TS Sporting and Cape Umoya we appear as Maccabi.
"We applied for the name-change and everything is in the hands of the PSL."
Meanwhile, Cheeseboy Mokoena has signed a deal with the outfit from
Johannesburg though Swallows' boss added that two more players were
expected to arrive from Kaizer Chiefs.
He concluded: "We are expecting two more players from Kaizer Chiefs to be registered with the team soon."
