Dove not dwelling over Sundowns move

Edmilson Dove says he is focused on achieving success with Cape Town City after a reported failed move to Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 25-year-old Mozambican defender joined the Citizens from hometown side Clube Ferroviario de Maputo in 2017.

He has been a solid addition to the Cape side over the past few seasons, with his performances this season reportedly earning the admiration of the Brazilians.

A move failed to materialise though, with Dove explaining he is still open to offers, but until then will put his focus firmly on City.

Speaking to the SowetanLIVE, Dove said: "I don't want to speak about that (move to Sundowns), the main focus for me is Cape Town City, whatever happens, will happen (after).

"But other than that, the main focus is Cape Town City which is the club that is paying me and still contracted to. So yeah, I don't want to keep my focus on situations that are not under my control and there is less to say about it.

"Unless of course there is something that comes up and I decide to look into it."

Dove, who scored three goals in 23 Absa Premiership matches this season, has two years left on his current contract.
