Dolly enjoying career trajectory

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Keagan Dolly is happy to see his football career grow at both club and international level.

Dolly recently earned his second Bafana Bafana call-up after helping the Brazilians to a league and Telkom Knockout double.

The former Ajax Cape Town player is also expected to lead the national under-23 side as captain at the upcoming Rio Olympics.

"I have had a busy schedule this past season, but things are going to get even busier. And that is the excitement one gets in this football career of ours and I am enjoying every moment of it," Dolly told the official PSL website.

"It all began when I was called up for the U23's and goals started to come. One thing led to the other and all of a sudden my career started to flourish.

"From the U23s, I won my first trophy with Sundowns, then the league title, got nominated for three awards during the recently held PSL annual awards and now a Bafana Bafana call-up."

The 23-year-old gave credit to everyone who played an important role in his development.

"They have insisted that I maintain a cool head and not to be big-headed. My girlfriend too has been there for me," Dolly added.

"And on top of that I want to thank the coaches who I have worked with in this short journey, the likes of the late Ted Dumitru, he had a lot of influence on my career, Muhsin Ertugral who taught me to be a complete footballer, Owen da Gama, Shakes Mashaba and of course coach Pitso Mosimane among others. All these have played a huge role to where I am today."
