Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka was dumbfounded after his team suffered a shock 2-1 loss to Platinum Stars on Sunday.
Maluleka rued his missed chances during the match and felt he could have swung the result in Chiefs favour at the Cape Town Stadium.
Chiefs have recorded the most draws in the Premiership (7), with a further six wins and two defeats leaving them eight points off league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
"Very frustrating, it came back to haunt us obviously with the chances that we missed, then they got back in the last few minutes," Maluleka told KickOff.
"I'm doing everything right it's just getting the ball in the back of the net so I don't know. We played well today, we played according to instructions, we just didn't manage to convert our chances and we got punished for that.
"We played very well, we had the confidence, everything was fine, the spirit is very high but...I don't know, I really don't know, just to get the ball in the back of the net.
"We're going to have to go back and reflect on this game, obviously focus more on the positives than the negatives, but a few touch-ups here and there and I think we should be okay."
