Dikwena confirm Ntuli and Mpeta arrivals

Cape Town - Platinum Stars have boosted their squad with the signings of striker Bongi Ntuli and central defender Luvo Mpeta, both on loan.

Ntuli, who belongs to Mamelodi Sundowns, has had his loan spell extended and will give coach Cavin Johnson more firepower up front. The 25-year-old netted five goals in 19 league matches for the North West side last season, having previously been out on loan at Golden Arrows.

Central defender Mpeta meanwhile makes a return to Dikwena after joining SuperSport United two years ago, the Pretoria club having added several new defenders to their squad.

The news was confirmed to the Soccer Laduma website by the Platinum Stars general manager.

"I can confirm that we have acquired these two players. They are on loan. We have been chasing them since the beginning of the season. We are happy that we have finally signed them.

"The two will complete our puzzle as far as the squad is concerned. Ntuli has been with us and he fits in well with the way we play. With Mpeta, we will have good competition on the left. We are confident of doing well going forward."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
