Johannesburg - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa believes his team should have wrapped up maximum points in the first-half against Polokwane City on Tuesday.
The Urban Warriors were held to a 1-1 draw by Rise and Shine at the Cape Town Stadium.
Ajax made a blistering start which led to the opening goal in the third minute from Nathan Paulse, while Thobani Mncwango levelled the scores from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute.
"We started well as you saw. We could have sewn the game up in the first half, we had a couple of good chances," De Sa told KickOff.
"We never took the second or third goal. I think we could have kept the pressure up but we dropped off slightly in the second half.
"Obviously as we conceded the penalty and the red card that was a double blow. It was always going to be hard to come back from that. But having said that, our best chance of the game still came when we were down to 10 men.
"We tried to play on the break a little bit, but you know the way they play. They always come at you for 90 minutes."
