Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger de Sa believes defender Mosa Lebusa has grown in leaps and bounds since his call-up to the Bafana Bafana squad last month.
Lebusa was part of the South Africa team that beat Costa Rica and drew with Honduras in a pair of international friendlies in October.
The 23-year-old was not included in the squad for Bafana's upcoming World Cup qualifier first-leg in Angola on Friday, but De Sa expects Lebusa to get more international opportunities in future.
"After coming back from the national team, he's been very good," De Sa told KickOff.
"He wants to play - he knows Ajax is his bread and butter, and he knows that these little flirts you have with the national team are going to happen now and then.
"I think he's still one of the best left-backs in the country, and he's still very young.
"It's nice sometimes when a player goes out and experiences those moments, because with us, he's first-choice and was starting to let his guard down a bit and not be as enthusiastic as he was.
"So maybe it's a good thing that he's experiencing that, so he comes back and rolls up his sleeves again and puts up another sterling performance. And that's what I'm expecting from him."
