Maritzburg United star defender Rushine de Reuck says he is still finding his identity as a player.
The 24-year-old established himself as a top defender this season after a winding road to Absa Premiership football.
After failing to secure a contract in Europe while on trial in Portugal and France, De Reuck returned to South Africa.
But after a spell in the lower leagues, De Reuck signed for Maritzburg United two seasons ago and hasn't looked back.
A contender for the Absa Premiership Defender of the Season award, De Reuck says he just getting started.
He told Far Post: "I feel like I have a lot to offer, I think I have a good football brain, but it is getting the message across obviously, anything to do with soccer, developing players.
"I can play in midfield, I have played there before when I was younger but I haven't played there in a while, so defensive midfield would be okay for me, I'm not very adventurous, I just like tackling, defending in general."
He added: "For me, it’s just about creating my own identity, I learn from people but when I play, I play my strength and I play what I see, and I play what I know."
