Daniels wants to have coffee with 'small boy' Sirino

Cape Town - SuperSport United defender Clayton Daniels wants to make amends with Mamelodi Sundowns star Gaston Sirino.

The two players got into a tussle during their MTN8 semi-final clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in which Matsatsantsa beat their neighbours to advance to the final.

Last weekend United went onto win the competition against Highlands Park as Daniels played a crucial role in helping the club over the final whistle.

With the cup in the bag, the former Ajax Cape Town defender says that he has been looking all over for Sirino to try and "cool him off a bit".

"You know what, I have been looking for him at the Mall of Africa. I don't see him there," said Daniels as quoted by KickOff.

"I just want to have a chat. I just want to buy him maybe coffee. I just want to cool him off a little bit, just relax so that when we go to the soccer field everything is sorted out and everything in his house will be okay. I think my house is okay now with the MTN8."

He added: "I believe Pitso Mosimane wants other deals. He wants me to stand up against Onyango and Wayne Arendse. I didn't stand up against Sirino. He was standing up to me.

"He is a small boy; he is small in structure. He didn't have to do those things. I hope he learnt from it. We are professional players. I don't want to let my team down by going to the game with a different mindset."
