Daniels: Pirates clash is a must-win for SuperSport

Cape Town - SuperSport United defender Clayton Daniels has urged his team-mates to give their utmost to fight for three points against Orlando Pirates on Wednesday.

Matsatsantsa are battling the threat of relegation as they sit in 14th position, only three points clear of the danger zone, while Pirates are in the hunt for the Absa Premiership title, four points below Sundowns.

Daniels admits it will be tough to beat the Bucs, considering they are on a five-game winning streak, but is determined to help SuperSport climb the standings.

"It's a big one. They are fighting for the league, and we have our own battle at the bottom," he told Kickoff

"So it's going to be a good game and we are fighting for three points. It’s the game of our lives.

"Orlando Pirates are playing good football. They are an exciting team to watch and it's going to be very difficult to come away with all three points, but we just have to go and rise up.

"It's a must-win for us, every game from now on is a must-win. Pirates is second on the log, but it's not going to be like in the past you know.

"We are going there again [Mbombela Stadium], but this time it's going to be a different Pirates than the one we played back then. I hope we come away with the three points.

That will give us another boost going into the next game [against Cape Town City]. We must just take it a game at a time."

Kick-off is at 19:30 (SA time).
