CT City will come back stronger, says Seedat

Cape Town - Cape Town City defender Ebrahim Seedat says the squad will bounce back following their MTN8 final disappointment on Saturday evening.

The Citizens lost out to SuperSport United 4-2 on penalties following a 1-1 result after extra-time while Seedat received the man-of-the-match reward.

While the former Lokeren man says the individual accolade is little consolation, his warned the rest of the Premiership that Benni McCarthy's side are now hungry to achieve success this season.

"What can I say, we lost. Anyone could win on penalties but we put in the hard work. Well done to SuperSport," he said after the game.

"We had fun, he (Benni McCarthy) always tells us to have fun and enjoy our game. At the end of the day the results matters and unfortunately we did not win the game.

"There's still more to come, we have to focus on the league now."

City will welcome Bloemfontein Celtic to Cape Town Stadium for a Premiership fixture on Tuesday evening.

Kick off is at 19:30.
