Cape Town - Wits coach Gavin Hunt says he's been very impressed with Cape Town City midfielder Craig Martin's performances this season.
Martin was on the score-sheet last weekend in City's 1-2 home defeat to the Clever Boys (former Citizens striker Lehlohonolo Majoro got both the Students' goals).
In his first season in the PSL, the Kensington-born former Glendene and Hellenic winger has impressed with his exhilarating play on the flank and has scored three goals in 15 league matches.
Hunt, who hails from Cape Town and played professionally for Hellenic, complimented Martin's impact on the league this season and also believes there is a lot more talent like him playing in the amateur ranks in the Mother City.
"This boy Martin for me has been a revelation this year. I've watched him‚ he has got energy in abundance‚" Hunt said.
"You look at his age [24] and you have to say‚ where has he been? There must be millions of players like that."
Martin's own coach, Benni McCarthy, was also impressed with the player's performance against Wits.
"Craig Martin was again unbelievable operating on the right flank‚" he said.
The Cape team, sixth on the table, are in action on Tuesday night when they take on Baroka FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
