CT City complete Dubula signing

Cape Town - Cape Town City have bolstered their squad ahead of the second round of PSL fixtures with the acquisition of midfielder Siyabonga Dubula from FC Cape Town.

The 22-year-old midfielder was snapped up from the National First Division outfit to become the Citizens' third signing of the transfer window, following the arrivals of defenders Raphael Georgiades and Edmilson Dove.

"Cape Town City Football Club is proud to announce the signing of midfielder, Siyabonga Dubula," the club's official website revealed.

"The local Cape Town boy from Delft is one of the top prospects in the country and we have no doubt that he has a bright future at CTCFC.

"The club has purchased Dubula from local NFD outfit FC Cape Town and this big transfer is testament to the bridges that CTCFC is building with other Cape Town clubs to promote and develop our local talent at the highest level," the statement said.

Dubula is expected to compete with Lebogang Manyama and Given Mashikinya for a starting berth in Eric Tinkler's side, who resume their league campaign with a home game against Highlands Park on Tuesday, February 7.
