CT City and Wits tracking Graham - report

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City are monitoring Ajax Cape Town midfielder Travis Graham with a view to potentially signing the out-of-favour player in 2018.

Graham is currently training with Ajax's MultiChoice Diski Challenge team after informing the club at the start of the season that he didn't want to sign a new contract with the Urban Warriors.

As a result, the 24-year-old was frozen out of the first team and has not been involved at all in 2017/18 under coach Stanley Menzo.

With the talented midfielder approaching the final six months of his deal, in January he will be eligible then to sign a pre-contract agreement with either the Clever Boys or Ajax.

The former club academy youth product has a contract that expires on 30 June 2018 at which point he will be a free agent.

Ajax may try to cash in on the player in January for a nominal fee, though he could leave for free come the end of June next year.

At this stage it remains unclear between Wits or City who is favourite to land his services, however, both outfits have registered an interest in the young star.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
