Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos boss Jomo Sono always believed it was only a matter of time before the club's performances would be rewarded with a win.
Cosmos picked up just their second win in 11 league games so far this season with an exciting 4-3 triumph over Chippa United at Olen Park on Sunday.
Ezinkosi secured the points courtesy of strikes from Charlton Mashumba, Brice Aka, Pentjie Zulu and Sipho Mngomezulu, while Chippa's goals came from Rhulani Manzini, Aristide Bance and William Twala.
With the win Cosmos have moved out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.
"It is about time. But we knew it was coming because we have been creating a lot of chances but not been scoring," Sono told KickOff.
"Even in the second-half we were creating chances but were not scoring. We have been playing like this the whole season."
Goal-scorer Mashumba also expressed relief after the rare win: "Now I am feeling like an asset to the team. At last I am helping the team to achieve and move away from the bottom of the table.
"It was only a matter of time before we got things right. It is difficult in a new league against experienced players," he included.
