Concentrate on winning the league, says Pitso to Sundowns players

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane will tell his players to "try your best to win the league" even though it might be taken out of the hands on the playing field.

Mosimane and his Sundowns team came to know that the Premier Soccer League (PSL) will lodge an appeal against the Disciplinary Committee's ruling over the Sundowns and Wayne Arendse case.

The PSL DC has already handed down a ruling in the matter, fining Masandawana a total R250 000 and R50 000 to Arendse, who was ineligible to play in the league match against Wits in the first half of the season.

However, the PSL want Wits to be handed a 3-0 victory and for Arendse to serve a two-match ban and have lodged an appeal with the SAFA legal counsel in an attempt to overturn the ruling.

Mosimane said he will leave everything to the Sundowns management to resolve and tell his players to concentrate on their work on the field.

According to the current log standings, Sundowns just need a victory in their final game of the season against Free State Stars to seal their second consecutive league title.

The Brazilians mentor said in quotes published on KickOff website: "I told them go and try your best to win the league.

"Try to win in Free State [against Free State Stars]. Whatever happens happens. For me it's beyond our control.

"It's unbelievable at this point in time one game left and still talking about this thing.

"I don't know so I end there. Yugesh is there, Sundowns is there, I don't want to talk."
