Comitis: Manyama, Ngoma not for sale

Cape Town - Cape Town City owner John Comitis has reiterated that star players Lebogang Manyama and Aubrey Ngoma are not available for transfer.

Manyama and Ngoma were central to City's impressive inaugural Premiership season where they were in with a shot at the title until the very end.

The two have since drawn interest from the big Gauteng clubs, but Comitis said he won't be letting anyone go as they look to build on from the previous campaign.

"My intention is to keep the entire squad together as far as possible," Comitis was quoted by Times Media Digital.

"We live in a business environment and we understand that, but there is no intention of me off-loading any players. If there is an offer from Europe, only because it gives a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to the player, then I will consider it.

"I'm not looking at strengthening another team but my own."

Both Manyama and Ngoma recently extended their contracts to 2021.

Comitis recently accused Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane of offering Manyama "hypothetical millions" behind the club's back.

"Quite simple, I've said to Lebo that, 'I'm certainly trying to find you a good club overseas, because you deserve the break'. It's got to be a realistic offer. Failing that he is still young (26) and he's able to give me another good year and still go overseas," Comitis added.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
