Cape Town - Cape Town City chairman John Comitis says he does not agree with coach Benni McCarthy that the club needs a new centre-back.
McCarthy told reporters after the 2-1 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs that he hopes Comitis sees the side need a central defender as he is being forced to use Edmilson Dove in the heart of the defence.
He said at the time: "Like I said I'm make-shifting, I'm playing a left-back at centre-back and it should be clear now for my chairman that we need a centre back."
Nonetheless, Comitis takes the view that no further additions are needed in the squad.
He told KickOff: "We don't need anything.
"We have a top squad and had the players to secure that win."
The Citizens are next in action on 22 September when they face Golden Arrows at Cape Town Stadium.
